Dear Beloved Prophet Peace be Upon You,
I am a teenaged girl that believes in you and Allah in every possible way. But unfortunately, in this age and time, many obstacles, distractions, and challenges have been set. I am trying to find my way through them. Just recently, I have felt that you were with me this whole time. I feel like you were a person I’ve known for ages. Today, I am writing to you assuming I know what to tell you, but words and sentences would not be enough to describe my feelings toward you.
Dear Prophet (Peace Be Upon You), I want to explain to you how I feel as a believer, a Muslim, and a contributor to society. I want to confess that I am not perfect at all, and that I face difficulties and struggles. I want to tell you that I’m trying my best to follow your footsteps. I know that everything I am today as a person, came from you. You taught me the qualities of forgiveness, kindness, and respect. You taught me how to be a loyal friend. You taught me how to choose the right friends, as you have said: “المرء على دين خليله فلينظر أحدكم من يخالل”.
Contributing to society is one important factor to me. I want to die knowing I have made a change in this world. As you have said: “إذا مات ابن آدم انقطع عمله إلا من ثلاث: صدقة جارية، أو علم ينتفع به، أو ولد صالح يدعو له”.
Oh Prophet, I feel ashamed knowing that I am not perfect. And I want to be better in every way. Please forgive me for whatever I have done. And finally, thank you for everything.
